Interim Executive Director
Holden Hohaia – Ngāti Maru, Taranaki Whānui ki Te Upoko o Te Ika, Ngati Tupaia ki Te Aro
Trustees appointed Holden as their Interim Executive Director on 22 May 2026 for a period of 90-days to lead and direct current and agreed Trust operational activities.
During Holden’s term as Interim Executive Director, he vacates his Trustee role.
Holden’s background and qualifications in law and communication as a certified Māori Language Interpreter, various trustee roles on multiple boards, coupled with his long history with Taranaki Whānui ki Te Upoko o Te Ika and his chairpersonship for Te Rūnunga o Ngāti Maru Trust are an asset to the Trust in his role as IED.

Kirsty Tamanui - Ngāti Porou, NgaAriki Kaiputahi
Kirsty joined the team in July 2017 and has developed better business practice, management and operations oversight. Kirsty is the Trust's key relationship contact for our Crown and local Council partners, manages our assets and the Trusts' business and office operations.
Immediately prior to joining Taranaki Whānui, Kirsty was the Business Manager, Policy Partnerships for Te Puni Kōkiri and brings with her 10 years of business management experience.
