The Port Nicholson Block Settlement Trust (The Trust) governs the settlement assets of the Trust on behalf of registered members of Taranaki Whānui ki Te Upoko o Te Ika.
Trustee positions are held for a 3 year term, with currently no honorarium payable as per standing resolution. Any retiring trustee can stand for re-election if they choose.

Nominations for the 2019 trustee election closed at midday on Thursday 11 July 2019, with 12 nominations received for the 5 ordinary and 1 extra-ordinary vacancies on the trust. An election is therefore required and will be conducted by postal and internet voting and by ballot box at the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The candidates in alphabetical order are:

Voter packs, together with information about the candidates, will be sent to all registered and verified adult members of the trust on Wednesday 21 August 2019. Internet and postal voting closes at 12 noon on Saturday 21 September 2019. Voting papers can also be placed in the ballot box at the Trust’s AGM up to the conclusion of the meeting.
For this election, the 5 highest polling candidates will fill the 5 ordinary vacancies on the trust and the 6th highest polling candidate will fill the extra ordinary vacancy.
The AGM is to be held at Waiwhetū Marae on Saturday 21 September 2019.
